“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20 ESV
There’s a miraculous change that takes place, as believers, when we gather together, wouldn’t you say? When scripture is read, and the Spirit is present, a magnificent refining takes place. Sanctification is agile and active, and does not trip up. What if we were gathered around my kitchen table every morning, and dug into the Word together? What would happen in our hearts if we dared to untwine in the midst of other believers and invited accountability?
The refinement process is not easy. It is no cozy afternoon nap, or evening by a campfire. It is a burning furnace – one that God uses to transform us to good – despite us asking for it. But when you do ask, as Matthew 7 states, it will be given to you.
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4; it’s no prosperity declaration, but a testament to what God will do to your heart when you follow him. He changes it to reflect His Will for you.

let’s work through it, together

Hi, nice to meet you.
I’m Peyton. Peyton Taylor. I’m the wife to Justin Taylor, mom to Ryder Taylor, along with homemaker, full-time worker, runner, and amateur writer.
I am here because I love to write. I love to study scripture and work through the hard stuff with a community. That’s all. And I welcome you to walk this way with me – to untwine & refine ourselves – as if we were sitting in my living room and debriefing our weeks. That’s what I hope you get from this thread.
Expect a lot of ebbs & flows, for such is life, and lots of analogies that have to do with my hobbies. Whether that is running, working outside, travelling with my husband, or hanging with my son. Engage where you wish, or don’t engage at all.
I am just happy to have you here.
